Watkinsville, GA - Grace H. Collier, 83, died May 19, 2008.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Dock T. and Annie Lura Hardigree and was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Fleming, Jane Dickens and Geneva Fambrough. She attended Georgia Southwestern College in Americus. She was a charter member of Athens Historical Society and a member of UDC. Mrs. Collier was a lifelong member of Antioch Christian Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Christian Church with Revs. Jeff Wilkes and Dennis Lanning officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be caregivers, Angela Williams, Callie Watson, Annie Mea Laguins, Annida Clark and Patricia Smith and the Fellowship Sunday School Class at Antioch Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joe L. Collier; daughter, Elaine (Dick) Neal son, Lewis T. (Sharon) Collier, all of Watkinsville; son, Richard D. Collier of Lawrenceville; sister, Carolyn (David) Bowden of Griffin; sister in law, Mary Beth Josey of Byromville; 2 grandchildren, Justin Collier, MD and Laura Collier and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until8:00 PM.
