Gloria M. Carson, 74, died May 14, 2005.
A native of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late James Carl and Annie Lizzie Hammond Maxey. She was retired from Oconee State Bank and was a member of Union Christian Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 16, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Stevens of McDonough, GA; son, Tracy Carson of Watkinsville; sister, Shirley Seagraves of Athens; two brothers, Carl S. Maxey of Watkinsville, Cecil Maxey, of Maysville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Maxey, Phillip Maxey, Paul Maxey, Alan Bramblett, Shane Carson and Micah Carson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Union Christian Church.
