Glenn Seavers Jr

Glenn E. Seavers, Jr., 76, died December 18, 2016.
A native of Middletown, NY, he was a son of the late Katherine Horan and Glenn Ellsworth Seavers, Sr.
Mr. Seavers retired as Staff Sergeant from the United States Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam. During his service, he received numerous awards including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Medal 1st-6th.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Louise Loggins Seavers; two sons, Glenn E. Seavers, III of Athens and Mike (Laura) Seavers of Fortson; sister, Terry (Melvin) Greenway of Winterville; three grandchildren, Kaida Seavers, Abby Seavers and Michael Seavers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
