Glenn Scarborough

September 20, 1943 — September 18, 2012

Glenn Scarborough, a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran of 8079 Hwy 29 South, Hull, GA passed from this life unto his final rest on September 18, 2012. He was 69 years old, born September 20, 1943. The eleventh child of twelve children, he was born to Joe and Blanche Scarborough, seven of whom are deceased. Mr. Scarborough is also predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Ginn Scarborough, second wife, Helen Gleason Scarborough, and his beloved wife of twenty-two years, Inez Wilhelm Scarborough.
He leaves his sisters, Betty Gillem of Bogart, Alva Hay of Bogart, Mozelle Clark Crump of Comer; brother, Frank Scarborough, of Blackshear; a number of nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Cindy Waters of Athens, Candace Carrey of Ila, Tina Noland of Ila; step-son, Randy Wilhelm of Athens; and a number of wonderful step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM Friday, September 21, 2012 at Lord & Stephens, Madison Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Tolbert officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9PM on Thursday, September 20.
Cindy and Gordon Waters will be receiving family and friends at Glenn's residence. Betty Gillen and Alva Hay will be receiving family and friends at 1471 Lenrue Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Sympathy may be shown online in lieu of flowers if you choose. If you wish, please make donations to Odyssey Hospice who have give him the best of care. The family extends all their thanks.
