Glenn Brinson

Glenn Brinson Jr. 80 of Watkinsville, passed away Oct 9th after battling Melanoma. A native of Savannah, Glenn graduated from Savannah High School. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he served four years active duty in Japan as a medic and six in the reserves. After military service, Glenn moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University. It was here he met his wife, Ernestine Dempsey Brinson. Glenn and Ernestine owned Brinson and Associates, Inc General Contractors in Marietta. GA for over 20 years. Upon retirement, the two moved to Watkinsville. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Glenn was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, but nothing brought him greater joy than to be with his children and grandchildren. Glenn is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ernestine Dempsey Brinson, daughters Anne Brinson Dantre' and Melissa Brinson Shortt, sons in law Jeff Dantre' and Ken Shortt, grandchildren Reid and Lucas Dantre', Beau and Audrey Shortt, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial service will be Saturday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church in Watkinsville. Lord and Stephens, Watkinsville is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
