Gladys B. Smith, 75, of Winterville, Georgia passed away on March 10 after a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Gladys was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Winterville Georgia. For more than 50 years she enjoyed sharing her faith and spent much of her free time speaking to others in her community about the good news of God’s Kingdom and how it will benefit all mankind.
Gladys was a member of the First American Bank & Trust family in Athens, GA for 20 years. With a smiling face, she enjoyed helping customers and working alongside her coworkers.
Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Pete and Dorothy Busbin. She is survived by her husband James (Jimmy) P. Smith; children: Gerry Smith, Polly Power (Randy) and Pamela McKay (John); 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Patsy Harden (Gene) and Brenda Payton (Ron); brother: Frank Busbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at the Smith Cemetery in Whitehall, GA.
