During that time, Mrs. Lassiter served as secretary of the Athens Industrial Management Group. Mrs. Lassiter was an active member of Briarwood Baptist Church and an enthusiastic member of the Messengers Sunday School class who will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Lassiter was the proud mother of two daughters. Debra Lassiter of Watkinsville and Teresa Lassiter Sheffer and son-in-law Lloyd of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Kelsey and Abigail Sheffer; sister, Barbara Free Lowe and brother-in-law David of Arnoldsville, Georgia; sister in law, Linda Seabolt of Athens; three nephews, Jason Lowe and wife Donna, Chris Lowe and George E. Gladys, lovingly known as Gigi by her family and friends, was famous for her delicious cooking especially her homemade bread and cakes. Her legacy of love will continue to grow in our hearts.
