Gerry Bridges

Gerry Bridges, age 67, passed away November 15, 2012.
Mr. Bridges was born on May 23, 1945 in Danielsville, GA to George Thomas and Ora Opal Whitfield Bridges. He served his country with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Bridges will be remembered for playing Smoky The Bear. He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service and was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his mother, Ora Opal Bridges; sister, Mary Bennett; brothers, Harold Bridges, Larry Bridges, Ricky Bridges; girlfriend, Cathy Kelley; and dear friend, Billy Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30PM on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Lord & Stephens, Madison Chapel with the Revs. Calvin Ward and Buford Lockman officiating. Burial will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM on Saturday, November 17 at the funeral home.
