Gerard Robert Gagnier

Gerard Robert Gagnier, 74, of Athens, GA died on October 29, 2022, after a short, but courageous battle with brain cancer. He was the son of the late Gerard and Yvette Gagnier of Rochester, New York. Gerry was preceded in death by his son, Robert, and his beloved dog, Hershey. Gerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann, his daughter, Hollie, & her husband, Vinny, his son, Jim, and his wife, Lauren, five grandchildren (Cami, Vita, Bella, Vinny, & Rocco), and a large, close-knit, extended family. Gerry was an avid hunter, a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, and an amateur weatherman. He was a fixer of all things and could be counted on to repair anything from a delicate necklace to a car engine. He was a friend to all and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3rd, at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers, GA at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Athens, GA (Eastside Lexington Road). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Hospice House or Georgia Hunters for the Hungry.
