Geraldine Michael Patton

Geraldine "Jerry" Michael Patton, 93, died March 17, 2015.
Mrs. Patton was a daughter of the late Elon Jefferson and Cora Bailey Ayers, and was also preceded in death by two husbands, Jack Watson Michael in 1975 and Clarence Edd Patton in 1997. She was retired from Sears after forty-one years of employment and was a longtime member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, where she was very active in many women's groups until her recent declining health. She found great joy in gardening, painting and traveling. She was always smiling, ever gracious and was loved by all.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Private interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Michael (Jim) Watrous of Clearwater, FL and their children, Susan Watrous (Jeff) Mapen and James Michael (Katie) Watrous; their children, Owen and Nicholas Mapen and Henry Watrous; son, Lynn R. (Jennifer) Michael of Appling, GA; daughter, Ellen (John) Anderson of North Carolina; son, Rev. William E. (Rita) Patton of Northport, AL and their children, Casey Patton and Abby Becker; son, Rodney (Catherine) Patton of Athens and their children, Margaret, Carter and Ellen Patton; sister, Sue Cleveland; two brothers, Alton Ayers and Larry Ayers; sister-in-law, Louise Ayers; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
