Geraldine Elder

Gladys Geraldine Elder, 79 of Watkinsville, passed away June 16, 2016. She was the daughter of Wyvis and Maudie Lord. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Elder, and brother, William Lord.
Mrs. Elder was a longtime member of Antioch Christian Church.

Funeral services are 3:00 pm, Sunday June 19, 2016 at Antioch Christian Church with Pastors Scott Bartholomew and Franklin Shumake officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Elder Cemetery.The family will have a visitation at the funeral home Saturday June 18, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Survivors include her husband, James Walter Elder; extended family, Tim & Vickie Carithers, Tim & Dr. Krista Whitlock, Timothy & Penny Carithers, Brandon & Leigha Carithers, and Zachary & Stephanie Carithers; twelve grandchildren, four nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Paul Woodworth, Paul Jones, David Hayes, Loran Randall, Oran Randall and Terry Roach. Honorary pallbearers are: Donald Wilson and Jody Wright.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Antioch Christian Church Heart Fund, in honor of Dr. Steven Lowman, or to the Elder Cemetery Fund.
