Georgia Lois Tolbert, 92, wife of 49 years to the late Cleo Richard Tolbert, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her residence.
A native of Watkinsville, she was the daughter of the late William Wesley Giles and Della Christopher Giles and mother to the late Roy Tolbert. Lois had lived in Covington and Conyers prior to the death of Mr. Tolbert and following his death she moved to Bishop. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church and had worked as a receptionist for Dr. William L. Dobbs, Optometrist.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Delores and Walter Lee of Bishop, daughter in law, Diane Tolbert; grandchildren: Marsha Lee (Robert) Hardiman, Roger Lee; great grandchildren: Eric Tyson, Blake Hardiman and Allyson Lee, five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Revs. Scott Bartholomew and David Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 at Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends Monday, September 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church.
