Bogart - Georgia Sherry Thornton, 62, wife of Roger Darrell Thornton, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Spokane, Wash., she was the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Reynolds Stevens Watson and Lois P. Thornton Gilliland. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Thornton.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Eric Thornton, Stacey Thornton, Jennifer Thornton Haley, all of Bogart; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Ben Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be held this afternoon from 2 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
