George Jesse Young Jr

George Jesse Young Jr. passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at home in Bogart, GA. He was born May 13, 1932 in Rutland, VT to the late George Jesse Young Sr. and Ruth Burke Young.
Jesse was a graduate of Burlington Vermont High school and attended the University of Vermont. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Jesse met his wife, Kathy, while working at the Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in CT. He was a technical writer for the Titan Missile Program for the American Machine Foundry. He was a manager, supervisor, district supervisor and sales rep for many companies in TX, VA, IN, FL, SC and MD before settling and retiring in GA as owner of Athens Water Company/Young's Water Solutions in Athens, Watkinsville and Bogart.
He loved his family, all animals (his faithful dog Fiona was by his side at his passing), golf and reading. He had an engaging personality and was a brilliant joke and story teller.
He is predeceased by his brother Richard Young and his sister Mary Anne Young. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Katheryn M. Young, daughter Colleen B. Young-Vargas, son-in-law Luis Miguel Vargas, son Kevin J. Young, daughter Erin I. Young all of Georgia and sister Ruth Ellen Neverdousky of Connecticut.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, West.
