Hull - George W. (Buddy) Waldroup, 81, died April 15, 2008.
A native of Clarke County, Ga., he was a son of the late George W. and Gertrude Lovern Waldroup, and the widower of Bonnie Jean Harvey Waldroup. He was also preceded in death by a son, John C. Waldroup; brother, William H. Waldroup; and sister, Elizabeth Waldroup. Mr. Waldroup was owner and operator of G. W. Waldroup Commercial Plumbing for many years. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until service time.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, George H. Waldroup and Jan Forker of Winterville, James L. Waldroup of Hull, Paul and Kasey Waldroup of Colbert; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and James Henderson of Athens, Debbie and Howard Snyder of Watkinsville; sister, Evelyn Dinilli of California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison-Oglethorpe Humane Society.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
