Union Point - George Wesley Taylor, 53, husband of Lynn Steele Taylor, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Athens, he was the son of Joe Taylor of Flatwoods and Mildred Aycock Taylor of Lexington.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Joe McCannon, Michael McCannon, Brandon McCannon, Bubba Hammond, Kevin McCay and Mike Kaun.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include his siblings, David Taylor of Flatwoods, Wayne Taylor of Gillsville, Ann Smith, Harris Taylor, Joey Taylor, Pam Campbell, Lynn Looney, Eddie Taylor all of Lexington, Angie Holder of Athens and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
