Athens - George Edward Seabolt, 75, died January 2, 2006.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Lloyd Henry Seabolt and Blanche Smith Seabolt Free. Mr. Seabolt was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Leon Farmer & Company after 35 years service and was owner of Seabolt's Mobile Home Park. Mr. Seabolt was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church, where he served as Trustee and was a member of the Mens Fellowship and the Athens Antique Car Club.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mens Fellowship of Whitehall Baptist Church and the Athens Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Carson Seabolt; son, George Seabolt, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; 2 sisters, Gladys Seabolt Lassiter of Watkinsville and Barbara Lowe (David) of Arnoldsville and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
