George Thomas Hunt

George Thomas Hunt, 94, joined his late wife Onetia Gunnells Hunt on July 3,2018, and together are worshiping their heavenly Father. George was born on Nov.10,1922. He is the son of the late BG and Beth Hunt of Danielsville. As a veteran of World War II, George served his country in the Army spending time in India during his time of service. He was a member of Moons Grove Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a Deacon and church clerk for many years. Being an avid hunter, Pop, instilled a love of the outdoors in his family and friends. Mr. Hunt is survived by his son Fred Hunt (Kathy), and daughter Marsha Hunt Cummings (Boyd); three grandchildren Clayton Hunt (Leah), Christopher Cummings (Andrea), Ashley Cummings Earp(Cory); four great grandchildren, Parker, Bradley, Mason and Olivia. Mr. Hunt is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Moon's Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
