George Anderson Hillsman Sr

George Anderson Hillsman, Sr., age 83, passed away March 13, 2013. George was an Oconee County farmer and had retired from Southern Piedmont. He also served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Marvin Hillsman, Jr., and infant son, James Mark Hillsman.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eleanor Clotfelter Hillsman; children, George Anderson "Andy" Hillsman, Jr. (Charlie), Pamela Hillsman Wood (Walt), and Charles Robert Hillsman (Jane); grandchildren, Angela Wood Hoffman (Jeremy), Matthew Preston Wood, Nicholas Robert Hillsman, Kasey Lynne Hillsman, and Julie Elizabeth Hillsman; great-granddaughter, Kamea Mae Hoffman; sister, Lula Hillsman Pace; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West with George Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8PM on Friday, March 15.
Pallbearers will be Donald Wood, Dale Wood, Ted Holladay, Guy Lance, and grandsons, Nick Hillsman and Matt Wood.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
