George Dennis Brown

Dennis Brown, 55, died Saturday, June 23, 2012.

Dennis loved racing softball, hunting and fishing.

Born in Franklin County, Dennis was the son of Edwin and Shirley Brown. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Brown. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons: George (Mary Brown of Colbert, Jordan (Courtney) Brown of Arnoldsville; sister: Elaine Brown of Lexington, grandchildren: Kole, Maniya, Jayce, Kendon, and Broughton Brown; niece, Brandy Huff; nephew: Bradley Tucker; great niece: Tristen Huff.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 3PM at Son Light Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Freeman and Rev. Joe Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Segars, Allen Segars, Thomas Segars, Johnny Looney, Kenneth Little, Shane Barnes; honorary pallbearers: Curt Fleming and Jim Holloman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
