George Elwood Cowart, Sr., 84, of Watkinsville, passed away on Saturday, March 19th, 2022.
Born in Metter, Georgia, George was the son of the late Fred and Myrtie Bell Cowart.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Minnie Jean Cowart, his son George Cowart, Jr., his step-children, Malinda Lawson and Robert Hall, his grandchildren, Derrell Hall, Thomas Raymer, Christy Jackson, and his great-grandchildren Raelyn Jackson and Silas Jackson.
Known around town as “Mr. George” his kindness touched the lives of everyone around him.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Watkinsville First Christian Church.
