Geneva (Adams) Rice

Geneva Adams Rice, 92, of Hull, Ga. passed away on June 7, 2013. Born in Madison County, Ga. on November 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Texie Gunnells Adams. Mrs. Rice retired from the University of Georgia Libraries Photographic Services. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Joy-Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her brother Cecil Adams and her husband of 61 years, Coy Rice. Survivors include her son Steve Rice; daughter Brenda Rice Thompson and husband Charles, both of Hull; grandchildren: Chris Thompson and wife Sarah of Peachtree City, Ga.; Kelly Thompson Davis and husband Mitchell of Atlanta; and Clayton Rice, Hull, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Katie, Truitt, Jack and Eloise Thompson, Peachtree City, Ga. as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Hull, Ga. with the Revs. Jonathan Tolbert and Randy Crowe officiating; burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Saturday at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, Ga. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, 2227 Diamond Hill Neese Road, Hull, Ga. 30646.
