Gene McCannon

Mr. Gene McCannon, 77, passed away March 20, 2012.
A native of Lexington, he was the son of the late Shub and Leslie McCannon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe McCannon, and sister, Fradie King. Mr. McCannon worked several years in Retail sales at A & P Grocery and Walmart.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McCannon; daughters, Diane and Darlene McCannon; sisters, Mary Alice (Chuck) Marsh, and Betty (RC) Jones, and four grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson, Kristen Slate, Tim Slate and Samantha McCannon. Mr.McCannon is also survived by two sisters- in-law, Maudene McCannon and Eleanor Young.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 am at the chapel of Lord & Stephens East. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
