Winterville, GA - Effie Gene Manley, 77, passed away November 4, 2008.
A native of Elbert County, GA, she was a daughter of the late John and Effie Madden, and
the widow of Winford Garnett Manley. She was a member of Winterville First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Keenager Senior Citizens Group and also taught a Women's Adult Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 7, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Winterville First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Akins officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Garnett and Cindy Manley of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Paul Fisher of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Sue Hancock and Hazel Erwin, both of Winterville; two brothers, Paul Madden of Cumming, GA and Albert Madden of Elberton, GA; three grandchildren, Eric Manley, Griffin Fisher and Claire Fisher.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
