Gene Crumley, 86, of Winterville, died on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Born in Tifton to the late Benjamin Franklin Crumley and Rosie Harris Crumley, Gene served his country in the US Army. Gene then worked as a research chemist for the USDA of 35 years and the EPA for 13 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Church.
Gene is survived by his wife, Brenda Crumley; five children: Gregory (Peggy Jo) Crumley, Sheila (Greg) England, Steve (Kathy) Crumley, Michael (Teresa) Crumley, and Melissa Crumley; one sister, Mildred Gibbs; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 25, at Cornerstone Church at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends the evening before at Lord and Stephens, East from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
