Gary Carl Hall, Sr.

Gary Carl Hall, Sr. entered into eternal rest at his residence in Athens, GA Friday morning January 31, 2025 while being under the love and care of his son. He was born in La Rochelle, France on October 7, 1954 to Carl Hall and Yvette Croize. He grew up in Bristol, CT alongside his brother Jackie and sister Joanne. He joined the US Navy in 1975 where he served as an Electrician’s Mate aboard the USS Harlan County (LST-1196). After his service, he worked as one of the first technicians for Westinghouse Electric at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in St. Marys, GA. He was a very talented bass guitar player and played in many bands throughout his life, which brought him much joy. He was a very kind, caring, loving, humble, gentle and patient man who loved his pets as the gentle shepherd he was that always tended to his flock. He had a heart of gold, and he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hall of Jacksonville, NC; his son, Gary Hall, Jr. of Athens, GA and two grandsons, Connor and Zachary Hall; his brother, Jackie Hall of St. Petersburg, FL, sister, Joanne Carlucci of Oldsmar, FL, half-sister, Jessica Rosa of Coral Springs, FL and half brothers, Joseph and Jerry Vanasse of Bristol, CT; step-daughter, Melissa Rodriguez of Loganville, GA and her four children, Alex, Brayden, Trenton and Gabriel and step-daughter, Melinda Ison of Kingsland, GA and her four children, Jami Alyssa, William and Ciara.
