Athens - Garry Ray Williams, 53, husband of Yevonne Williams, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Alma Inez and Spurgeon Williams. He was a member of The Salvation Army Church and retried from Pike Electric as a Tree Surgeon.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Candace (Joe) Bottoms of Moundsville, WV, Tamara Williams of Athens, Chad (Jessica) Williams of Gainesville; sister: Sandra (Billy) Mize of Leesburg, SC and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. from The Salvation Army Church with Major Loyd Kerns officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 25, 2008, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
