Garnett H. Llewallyn Sr

Garnett H. Llewallyn, Sr., 84, died Saturday, October 24, 2015. Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late Vester M. and Georgia Hammond Llewallyn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Dobbs Llewallyn and sister, Betty (Fred) Randolph. Garnett retired from Johnson & Johnson as Plant Supervisor having worked in the Athens and Gainesville plants. He was a member New Covenant Worship Center. Garnett loved his family and was a truly devoted husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Bernice L. Llewallyn; sons: Duke (Angela) Llewallyn of Watkinsville, Garnett "Bubba" Llewallyn, Jr. of Athens; brother: Jon (Margie) Llewallyn; sister: Ann (Ron) Hopkins; grandchildren: Trey (Jennifer) Llewallyn, Justin Llewallyn, Rachel Llewallyn, Channe'l (Nick) Dalton and Christina (Ross) Allen-Wise and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2PM at New Covenant Worship Center with Pastors Howard Conine and Nick Dalton officiating. Pallbearers will be Trey Llewallyn, Randy Randolph, Nick Dalton, Jon Llewallyn, Keith Llewallyn, David Hopkins, Justin Llewallyn and Payton Llewallyn. Interment will be at Oconee Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Covenant Worship Center Building Fund. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
