Gail Wilder went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Gail was born on July 16, 1944 in Elberton, Georgia to the late R.T. and Alice Cummings. Gail was preceded in death by her devoted husbands Larry H. Redmon of Panama City, Florida and Wilson H. Wilder of Sylvester, Georgia; her beloved son, Thomas Donald Redmon of Crawford, GA; her sisters Elizabeth Seigle and Robbie A. Cash; her sisters-in-law Mildred Clark, Jean Fulford, Carol Stacey; and her brother-in-law Donald Redmon.
Gail is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Trey Crowley of Athens, GA; her granddaughter Brittany (Seth) Blumenshine of Arnoldsville, GA; her grandsons Thomas Wheeler and Logan Hayes; her great-grandchildren Margaret Roslyn Blumenshine and Eli Blumenshine; her brother Robert (Anne) Cummings of Sandy Cross, GA; her sisters Norma (Neal) Thelen of Roswell, GA, Joyce Southers of Arnoldsville, GA, Helen (Avery) Harvill of McDonough, GA; her sister-in-law Lynda (John) Claspy of Panama City, FL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Gail grew up in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, attending Athens High School and North Georgia Technical College. She lived and traveled abroad while stationed overseas with her husband Larry, who served in the United States Air Force. Gail was a loving matriarch to her family and extended family, who was always ready to have a cup of coffee and offer a kind word or encouraging advice. She had a smile for everyone she met and was truly loved by all who knew her. She retired from Oconee Well Drillers in Watkinsville and was a long-time member of Temple Methodist Church in Arnoldsville, Georgia.
The family will receive visitors at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home at 4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA on Friday, April 16 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Temple Methodist Church at 2467 Wire Bridge Road, Arnoldsville, GA on Saturday, April 17 at 11:00 AM.
