Athens - Fredna G. Jackson, 80, died December 1, 2009.
Born in Banks County, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Lon and Emma Westbrooks Gowder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Jackson, daughter, Patsy Burnette, granddaughter, Monica Burnette, sisters, Susie Martin and Wortie Lee Haynes and brothers, Maxie Gowder and D. Gowder.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church for 29 years and was retired from General Time.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Billy Gowder, Bobby Whitlock, Cody Whitlock, Larry Butler, Jamie Butler and Jeff Butler.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Michael Burnette and his wife, Linda; grandson, Jonathan Burnette; sisters, Lorene Toney and Esther Whitlock; brother, Billy Gowder and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
