Frederick "Fred" Thomas Dapkus

Frederick Thomas Dapkus, 87, of Athens passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Born on September 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Anthony Frederick Dapkus and Betty Flood Dapkus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister & brother-in-law, Irene & Roland Loveless.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Marilyn Dapkus; children, Kathleen (Gregory) Eckert, Michael (Heather) Dapkus, Christopher (Susan) Dapkus; grandsons, Ryan, Alex & Aaron Dapkus, Gareth & Hadden Eckert.

A mass will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Lord & Stephens East, Athens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 2pm.
