Carlton - Freddie McCannon, 71, died Sunday, December 27, 2009.
Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Coe Clark Sisk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar N. McCannon, and two brothers: Pete and Gene Sisk. She was a member of Carlton Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Glenn Guest and Rev. Tye Sorrow officiating. Burial will follow at Carlton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Sisk, John Sisk, Greg Sisk, Mike Watkins, Richard Serna and Don Glenn.
She is survived by three children: Teresa McElhannon of Clarkesville, GA, David (Elizabeth) McCannon, Carlton, GA and Janet (Robert) Culbertson, Danielsville, GA; sister: Ruth Leadley; eight grandchildren: Shannon Hardman, Jeremy Scarborough, Sheri Guest, Matthew McCannon, Travis McElhannon, Andy McCannon, Amber McElhannon, Bethany Culbertson; twelve great grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
