Franklin Ellsworth Morgan, Jr., 86, died February 28, 2010.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Adah Gordon and Franklin
Ellsworth Morgan, Sr., and the widower of Elizabeth Hastings Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of the United States Navy, a Third Degree Mason and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Athens.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhea and Mike Vezmar of Athens; son, Tom Morgan of Michigan; grandchildren, John and Diane Vezmar, Christine and John Olding, Anthony Morgan, Tom and Yok Morgan, Tim and April Morgan; great grandchildren, Michael Vezmar, Jack Vezmar and Theresa Olding; nephews and spouses, Jeff Hanlin, Bill and Tami Hanlin, Jerry Hanlin, Jim Hanlin; great nephew, Spencer Hanlin; great niece, Madeline Hanlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Home, c/o Jenny Roach, 2249 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
