Colbert - Franklin James Jarrett, 80, died October 15, 2006.
A native of Jackson County, GA, he was a son of the late Jeffie and Kate Evans Jarrett, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Maddox and Alma Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Moonís Grove Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Moonís Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Tony Lee and Dan Fuller. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah F. Jarrett; four children and spouses, Shirley and Johnny Massey of Commerce, Susan and Ken Crocker of Commerce, Robbie and Diane Jarrett of Hull, and Randy and Lisa Jarrett of Pigeon Forge, TN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Crocker, Josh Massey, Shane Baker, Denver Strickland, Gavin Griffeth, and Nathan Jensrud.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Moonís Grove Baptist Church in memory of Frank Jarrett.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
