Colbert - Frank Talmadge Hale, 94, husband of the late Frances Eleise Hale, died October 11, 2006. Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late Howard Thomas and Hattie Fulcher Hale. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Lee Hale, sister, Etta Mae Padgett and brother, William Thomas Hale.
Mr. Hale was a longtime resident of Madison County. He began his career as an electrician with Taylor Electric. Mr. Hale served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his military service, he worked with Fulcherís Electric and Athens First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Princeton United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 15, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Revs. Russell Repetske and Barry Black will officiate. Interment will be in Princeton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derek Hale, Darren Hale, Jeff Hale, Angelo Wheeler, Michael Moore, Brison Harbin, Keith Harbin, Joshua Moore and David Moore.
Survivors include 2 sons, Howard T. Hale and his wife Gloria and Frank M. Hale and his wife Kay, all of Colbert; stepson, Talmadge Moore and his wife Paulette of Athens; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Princeton United Methodist Church.
