Frances Turner (Turner) Strickland

Frances Turner Strickland, age 79, was called home to her heavenly father on April 13, 2017. Born in Enterprise, Georgia on July 27th, 1937, Fran was pre-deceased by her parents, the late Ralph and Fairy Smith Turner, and her brother, George Hampton Turner.
She is survived by her husband and love, Paul Strickland, of fifty-eight years; two sons and daughter-in-laws: Perry and Beth Strickland (Gainesville, GA), and Mike and Debra Strickland (Watkinsville, GA). "Nana" was a proud and loving grandmother who is survived by four grandsons and their families: Will and Christy Strickland, Jamie Strickland, Brett and Paige Strickland, and Michael and Jessie Strickland, and their two sons, Joe and Egan. Fran was an influential figure in the lives of many, and will be missed every day.
Fran retired in 2002 from Clarke County Government after serving for 35 years, but is best known for her position at Strickland's Restaurant. She was extremely active and passionate about her church, Northside Baptist, and all the family she leaves behind there.

The family will receive friends at Lord & Stephens West, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, Saturday, April 15, 2017 beginning at 1:00 pm with services to follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm.
