Frances Marie "Billie" Lyle, 87, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016.
Born in High Shoals, Georgia, she was the daughter of Luther Milligan and Lois Huff Milligan. Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hoyt Lyle, and her brother, Carroll Milligan of Athens.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Athens except for the last ten years of her life when she lived in Concord, NC. She worked for many years at Athens General Hospital and at Grandview nursing home. She also played piano and taught Sunday school at Edwards Chapel Baptist Church.
Frances is survived by her three children: Deborah Lyle Brown (Clifford, deceased) of Concord, NC; Michael Lyle (J.J.) of Charlotte, NC; and Patsy Lyle Eades (Danny) of Greensboro, GA. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Jo Kitchens of Lexington, GA, and Martha Bishop of Watkinsville, GA; six grandchildren: Randy Eades, Tonya Eades Brooks, Kristina Brown, Joe Lyle, Rene Brown Milby, and Jennifer Lyle Schab; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m., Thursday, November 10, at Evergreen Memorial Park.
