Frances Elizabeth Knight

Frances Elizabeth Fleming Knight, age 91, Danielsville, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014. Mrs. Knight was born on September 18, 1923, Elbert County, to the late Austin Loyd and Lucy Vercelle Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Austin LaClade Fleming, and sisters, Betty Jane Fleming Bryant and Marjorie Fleming Parham.

She retired from Monarch Manufacturing Company, Comer, GA, after many years of service in 1985.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother to her daughters, Deanna and Beth Knight, Athens, Georgia; son, Gordon (Jan) Knight, Monroe, Georgia; granddaughters, Krystal Knight and Somer (Matt) Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Reese Anderson, Monroe, Georgia. She is also survived by two brothers, Frank Chandler Fleming and Hewatt Loyd (Elizabeth) Fleming and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014, 3:00 p.m., Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with Elder Kenneth Adams, Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Meadow Cemetery. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Athens, GA.
