She was born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania on September 7, 1913. She lived in Albany and Milledgeville for many years and moved to Athens in 1997. She was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Athens and was a former State officer of Eastern Star. Mrs. Cundiff was the widow of Charles E. Cundiff.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 2, 2005, at 3:00 PM at Chapelwood United Methodist Church with Dr. Thom Shores officiating. Graveside services will be on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Floral Memory Gardens, Albany, GA with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 until 1:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home, Albany, GA.
Survivors include her son, Michael O. Cundiff, Sr. and wife, Carolyn of Athens, GA; four grandchildren, Jill Humphrey, Michael O. Cundiff, Jr. and wife, Melissa of Bainbridge, GA, Kelly Acosta and husband, Mark of Athens, GA, and Ryan Kearney of Gainesville, FL; five great grandchildren; sister, Laura Y. McLean of Fernando, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, WEST, Bogart, GA.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
