Frances Hardeman Cofer, 85, died April 13, 2010.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Currell and Ethel Erwin Hardeman and the widow of Dorsey Cofer. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alan Cofer. Mrs. Cofer was a homemaker and a member of Winterville First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Marion Coile Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Winterville First Baptist Church with Revs. Shane Moore, Palmer Rehberg and Lonnie Norris officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Terrell Hayes of Winterville; daughter-in-law, Jerry Anne Cofer of Athens; three sisters, Dot Hancock of Colbert, Joyce Williamson of Athens, and Charlotte Langford of Hull; brother, Erwin Hardeman of Comer; four grandchildren, Amy (Shane) Moore, Lori (Scott) Cochran, Missy (Jimmy) Towns and Michele (Jay) Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Hailey Moore, Sommer Moore, Cullen Cochran, Jenna Lace Cochran, A. J. Rice, Garet Johnson and Gabe Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Rick Ayers, David Langford, Randy Ray, Steve Williamson, Stanley Hardeman, Ronnie Hardeman and Dub Melton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Winterville First Baptist Church Keenage Fund.
