Watkinsville, GA-Frances Moon Teat Clark, 82, died February 12, 2007.
A native of Danville, VA, she was a daughter of the late Mary Jane Jordan Webb and Asa J. Moon, Sr. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hugh W. Teat and Ladell Clark, and a sister, Evelyn Mathews. Mrs. Clark retired from Westclox after 40 years and was a member of Springs of Life Fellowship Church in Arnoldsville. She also attended New Liberty Methodist Church in Hoschton, GA.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. G. C. McCurry and Jamey Prickett will officiate. Interment will be in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and James R. Claxton, Jr. of Watkinsville; stepson and spouse, Lamar and Yvonne Clark of Montgomery, AL; stepdaughters and spouses, Cindy and Randall Griffith of Jefferson, GA, and Pat and Tom Cathcart of Gainesville, GA; three sisters, Sara Drake of Royston, GA, Jimmie Lou Kelly of Brevard, NC, Bonnie Odum of Griffin, GA; two brothers, Asa J. Moon, Jr of Stockbridge, GA and Terry Moon of LaGrange, GA; stepmother, Allene Moon of Stockbridge; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Welch, Bob Sellers, Fred Smotherman, Lamar Williams, Sammie Phillips and Eric Knisely.
Flowers will be accepted. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
