Frances (New) Carson

Mary Frances New Carson passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021 at the age of 88.  Frances was born the only child of the late Ernest Paul New and Ada Lee Wiggins New March 13, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allie Lester Carson, son, Jeffrey Alan Carson and daughter, Suzanne Lee Carson Fuller.  Mrs. Carson was raised in the city of Atlanta and moved to Oconee County February 4, 1956 when she married.  Until recent years, she was active in various organizations, drove a school bus for the Oconee County School System for 17 ½ years and a member of Antioch Christian Church.

Mrs. Carson is survived by a son, Greg Carson of Bogart, daughter, Angela and her husband Byron Thaxton of Watkinsville, son-in-law, Charles Fuller of Athens, one granddaughter, Amanda Peppers of Watkinsville, and two great grandchildren, Mollie Frances and Carson Peppers of Watkinsville.

Visitation was held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Lord and Stephens West from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services were held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Antioch Christian Church with Jeff Wilkes officiating.  Pallbearers were David Hayes, Chuck Williams, Oran Randall, Loran Randall, Wayne Marable and Brent Marable.
