Florence (Berlin) Whitmire

Florence Berlin Whitmire, age 83, passed away on March 18, 2014. Florence attended the University of Pennsylvania. A resident of the area since 1965, Florence was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and was employed with the University of Georgia.
Survivors include her husband, William A. Whitmire; children, Laurel Whitmire of Bishop and Walker Whitmire of Athens.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bob Bohler officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8PM on Thursday, March 20.
Flowers are welcomed or memorial donations may be made to the Northeast Georgia Cancer Center.
