Lexington, GA - Florence LaCount Miller, 87, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late H. D. and Bertha Ivester LaCount. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Alice LaFaye Sims; sisters: Doris Bray, Joanne Bradley; brothers: Franklin LaCount, David LaCount and James LaCount. She was a member of Christian Life Worship Center where she was a member of the choir and the Keen Age Sunday School Class. Florence loved flowers and gardening in her yard.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Lewis W. Miller, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law: Wesley and Dolly Miller, of Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Tommy Robinson, of Lexington; sisters: Hazel Bingham and Carolyn Reynolds; grandchildren: Tina Martin, Lisa Martin, Cherryl Willingham, Reneeí Hartley, Tracy Galloway, Charles Martin, Lesley Miller, Michael Sims; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Revs. John Ingham and Hugh Morgan officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
