Farmington - Florence Carson Bennett, 92, of Farmington, died February 13, 2008.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nona Smith Carson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Stacy Bennett, daughter, Linda K. Bennett, grandson, Michael Todd Hester and brothers and sisters: Frances Carson, JB Carson, Maggie Mae Phillips and Mary Roth. She retired from American Linen in 1988 and was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 15, 2008 at 2PM at Farmington United Methodist Church with Rev Mike McLemore officiating. Interment will be in Farmington Cemetery.
Survivors include her children: JoAnn B. (Harvey) Hester of Maxeys, GA, Sandra Bennett Daniel of Bishop, GA and Charles Stacy (Carol) Bennett of Watkinsville, GA; sisters: Rossie Carson Brooks of High Shoals, GA, and Mattie Belle Carson Miller of Bishop, GA; grandchildren: Michelle Daniel Garrison, David M. Hester, Charles Stacy Bennett, Jr., and Jamie Carson Bennett; great grandson, Jacob Todd Hester and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, from 6 until 8PM.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be to Alzheimer's Association.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
