Athens - Flora (Flo) P. Ruff, 71, died August 7, 2009.
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Atencio and was the widow of John Ruff.
Affectionately known as "Crazy Granny", Flo has made her home in Athens since 1960. She was longtime owner of Styles By Flo, Mane Event and A Flair With Hair. Flo was a friend of Bills and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be Monday August 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paul Flood celebrant.
Survivors include her children, Greg Jordan of Marietta, Sandra Nemetz (Joe) of Watkinsville and Cindy Jordan of Hartwell; sisters, Gerry Rios and Patricia Atencio of New Mexico, and Barbara Morrison of Virginia; brother, Frank Atencio of New Mexico; grandchildren, Kerry Nemetz, Jordan Nemetz, Ellie Jordan and Christopher Nemetz.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday August 9, 2009 from 5 to 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House.
