Flora Brown

Flora Margaret Brown, 89, died July 23, 2016.

A native of Forsyth County, she was the last surviving of eleven children of George A. and Annie Wade Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buford B. Brown, her son, Tony Brown, Sr. and son-in-law, Ted Shelnut. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a longtime member of Moon's Grove Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Moon's Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Tom Dial and Nathan Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two children, Bobby R. (Christine) Brown of Colbert and Susan Shelnut of Colbert; daughter-in-law, Brenda Brown Smith of Danielsville; five grandchildren, Tony Lee Brown, Jr., Ray Brown, Missy Reynolds, Patsy Donald, Chrystal (Daniel) Newton; eight great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; dear friend, Edna Callaway.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
