Ferrell William Poore

Ferrell William Poore, 76, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at his residence.

Born in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Mark W. and Annie Mae Williams Poore. He was also preceded in death by his sister Jeraldine Staggers. Ferrell retired from the US Navy as a mechanic and truck driver.

Survivors include: four children, Dave (Cindy) Poore, of Watkinsville, Ga., Debbie Cusack, of Cartersville, Ga., Richard Poore, of Bogart, Ga., and Sheila (Steve) Briner, of Grayson, Ga.; six grandchildren, Julie, Adam, Isaac, Katie, Christopher, and Nicholas; brother, Luther (Maxine) Poore and sister, Alice (George) Hilder.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:00 at the chapel of Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 2 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
