Faye McCoy (McCoy) Butler

Faye McCoy Butler, cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the age of 82.

Born in Townville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Andrew McCoy and Euella Sisk McCoy. Mrs. Butler was a faithful member of Joy Baptist Church where she remained active until her health declined. She was an avid fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves and she loved gardening. Mrs. Butler was a breast cancer survivor and she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Butler and five siblings, Fannie Crane, Gene McCoy, Bill McCoy, Julius McCoy and Douglas McCoy.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Gilreath, Tracey West (Bobby) and Terrie Greene (Mike); five grandchildren, Ashley West, Kage Gilreath, Kevin Williamson (Denise), Jessica Katzban and Jared Greene (Sarah) and four great-grandchildren, Nathan England, Eli Williamson, Corbin Katzban and Hazel Greene.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Joy Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the church.
