Fannie Bell Carter Pruitt

Fannie Bell Carter Pruitt, 95, of Quiet Oaks Healthcare, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Born in Statham, she was a daughter of the late Frank Carter and Fannie Smith Carter. Mrs. Pruitt loved gospel singing, and one of her favorite past-times was harmonizing with her siblings at a young age. She also loved traveling, and most importantly, she enjoyed reading her bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eula Maude Carithers of Mansfield, MO.; three brothers, Ralph Carter (Frances) of Athens, GA, J.C. Carter of Abilene, TX and David Carter of Cullman, AL.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Slay (Marvin) of Winterville, GA; brother, Dr. Robert N. Carter (Mona) of Smiths Station, AL; sister-in-law Loretta Carter of Abilene, TX; sister-in-law, Martha Carter of Cullman, AL; two grandchildren, Mitch Slay and Lori Slay and three great grandchildren, Mitchell and Dakota Slay and Alexis Sartain.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the residents of Quiet Oaks Nursing Home, 125 Quiet Oaks Drive, Crawford, GA 30630.
